Getting your teeth realigned when you’re an adult might sound like a dream – or a nightmare! At Kooringal Dental, we know that adults don’t always fancy having visible braces when they have to go to work or face parents at the school gate. Thankfully, we have another solution to realigning your teeth that will save you from boardroom nightmares or inquisitive parents at your children’s home time from school. Choosing Invisalign Wagga will give you a discreet and comfortable option to realign your teeth without denting your self-esteem whilst wearing them.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an alternative to braces. It consists of sets of clear plastic aligners, which are custom made to fit your mouth and sit comfortably on the gum line. When they are being worn, they shouldn’t be noticeable to anyone, so you can feel very confident when going about your normal day. The aligners apply gentle pressure to your teeth to move them gradually into the desired position. You will be given sets of aligners to change between each week and you will be required to have check-ups before receiving further sets.
What are the benefits to choosing Invisalign Wagga?
Aside from keeping under any onlooker’s radar, Invisalign Wagga offers flexibility. You don’t need to wear the aligners when you eat and drink, which means that you don’t have to clean masticated food off them after a working lunch! You can also keep them off for special occasions or playing sports. We do recommend that you wear them for around 22 hours each day, leaving you plenty of time to decide when you need a little break (school pickups included!)
Another major benefit is that the aligners are far less likely to require emergency appointments for breakages. Metal braces are more prone to mechanical issues and so, as much as we love seeing all of our patients, we know you don’t fancy too many appointments to see us when you have a busy schedule.
It is also worth noting that anyone with their adult teeth can have Invisalign. There is even a range specific for teenagers – Invisalign Teen.
What do I need to do next?
If you are interested in having your teeth realigned, the first thing you need to do is book a consultation with our Invisalign dentist in Wagga here at Kooringal Dental. We will give your mouth a thorough examination and if we feel that you would benefit from Invisalign we will then take a scan of your mouth. From this, we are able to get the measurements required for your bespoke aligners and we will also be able to show you a 3D animation of how your teeth should look after your treatment is completed, helping you to visualise how your smile will look.
If this sounds right up your street, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We want you to be smiling without any inhibitions and with the confidence to know that in a short time your smile will be beaming even brighter!
All treatment carries risks. Individual consultation is required with one of our practitioners to ensure that the treatment is right for you.
